The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index is the industry standard by which a home’s energy efficiency is measured. It’s also the nationally recognized system for measuring a home’s energy performance.
MODUS utilizes the HERS Index along with energy modeling tools and its proprietary database of building products to cost effectively value energy saving materials and processes.
A Net Zero Energy (NZE) building is one that produces as much energy as it consumes on an annual basis.
MODUS has produced projects that have achieved NZE status with the Department of Energy.
MODUS is one of the nation’s leaders in constructing high performance dwellings.
MODUS homes are typically a 40-50 HERS score before adding solar.
